This is a magnificent very Large Hexagonal Lustre Temple Jar now on offer on this site.

Manufactured by A.G. Harley Jones Wilton Ware this beautifully gilded Temple Jar has the almost typical chinoiserie designs flowing around the entire body of the Jar, all set on rich cobalt blue lustre ground.

(The design is almost indentical to those created by W & R Carlton Ware - and, to a lesser extent, Crown Devon).

The gilding is almost pristine throughout - however, there is a small area to the rim edge which has been lightly touched up, though the camera doesn't pick it up too well. I can perhaps obtain a better photo if required.

Pattern number is 1544/5008.

The Temple Jar is of hexagonal Shape

There are no chips, nibbles, etc.

It stands 14 inches (36 cms) tall to the top of the finial.

It is backstamped appropriately with the Wilton Ware logo dating it to the early 1930s though since Wilton Ware was only produced between 1903 and 1934 this would seem academic..
