Carlton Ware figurines do not come more novelty than this model - well, perhaps 'Reservoir Frog' comes a very close second (also now available only from us).
It was designed by Tony Cartlidge in preparation for later release in a series linked to iconic films: this one playing on the Kill Bill popularity. This figurine is entitled simply, 'Kill Bill' and features a rather bellicose Toucan astride the ubiquitous banana of the series.
In point of fact, this 'series' did not materialise and only four pieces of this model were ever produced; that is, until we managed to locate the mould hidden in the depths of a storeroom and authorised a limited edition for 2011.
The model is, in fact, a teapot with the detachable tail of the Toucan forming the lid and the spout is the lower end of the banana.
Underneath, it has the appropriate Carlton Ware backstamp, also indicating the limited production number for Artware Collectables.
He is in perfect condition. The model unit is 7.25 inches (18.5 cms) tall and the maximum length is 7.5 inches (19 cms) with a width of 3 inches (7.5 cms) .
These models are now available. They are not copies nor have they been downsized from the original product. so collectors can be sure that these are genuine Carlton Ware products manufactured in Stoke-on-Trent.
