An exciting 'Studio Art' Design from Carlton Ware for this Ginger Jar Vase.

Studio Art is a brand new range for 2011 from Carlton Ware using a very talented decorator, Tony Cartlidge . This is a small series (only 25), each depicting 'Baby Liz' in slightly different forms. As each one of these limited editions is handpainted, there will be individual differences in any event.

The Vase has a cream ground on to which is set the handpainted picture of a young lizard. There is another painting on the rear showing a small number of lizard's eggs - presumably awaiting hatching. Both the jar and the lid have scattered specks of sand dotted around.

It is completely unmarked and has no chips/nibbles. It measures approx 5.5 inches (14 cms) in height to the top of the separate lid with a base diameter of just under 3 inches (7 cms).

The base is backstamped appropriately in black and shows 1/25.
